McKenzie JaLynn Music

About McKenzie JaLynn

McKenzie JaLynn's music career started when her Father had her join the Nebraska Country Music Foundation at the age of 7 and entered her into a Karaoke competition through the Nebraska Country Music Foundation and won.  Now did she win because she was good or cute?  Who knows, maybe it was a little bit of both.  The one thing we do know, is it lit a flame deep inside her and she has been singing in public ever since and we can't thank the Nebraska Country Music Foundation enough for that.  After being named 3X Female Vocalist of the Year, 3X NCMF People's Choice and then inducted into the NCMF Hall of Fame all before she turned 10 years old, started setting goals for her music career and often times exceed her own high  expectations.

A goal that seemed a little ambitious at the time, especially since she was so young was "I wanna "open" for a name"- With that said, she met and opened for Daryle Singltary at the Journey to Recovery fundraiser that was helping raise money to the surrounding communities that were devestated by a pair of dual tornadoes near Pilger, NE.  This was a very special and rewarding experience and she was very proud to be a sall part of something that helped so many came to realize something else.  That she wanted to help others with her gift whenever possible.  In doing so, she created a charity named BELIEVE.  McKenzie (along with her band and many volounteers) during this event raised nearly $4,000.00 and split the proceeds equally between Make-A-Wish Nebraska giving them a check along with the other half of the proceeds purchased about 300 "I BELIEVE Bears" and donated them to Children's Hospital of Omaha to help encourage the young patients to get well soon and also to have a snuggle buddy while they were away from home and in the hospital.

McKenzie and McKenzie JaLynn Band give back as often as possible.  McKenzie acts as a spokesperson for the State of Nebraska to help raise awareness to those who suffer from anxiety, depression and their mental health.  Reminding you that you are not alone.  In addition to this has performed and spoke at many events to raise suicide awareness.

McKenzie JaLynn and her band have come a long ways from being just a "Garage Band" or "Cover Band".  They have performed in over 7 states throughout the midwest performed at some of the finest venues, fairs and festivals while doing so.  To name a few  the Nashville Palace (TN), Sorrel River Ranch (UT),  Warehouse 2565 (CO),  Ameristar and Prairie Meadows Racetrack/Casino (IA), Kicker Country Stampede (KS) and many fairs such as the Nebraska and Iowa State Fairs (NE/IA) and more.  McKenzie/McKenzie JaLynn Band have shared the stage and or opened for some of the biggest names in the industry including Clint Black, John Michael Montgomery, Rodney Atkins, Daryle Singletary, Sugarland, The Kentucky Headhunters, Little Texas, LOCASH, Mitchell Tenpenny, Craig Campbell, Ned Ledoux and many more.

Though McKenzie JaLynn Band has been a great Garage/Cover Band for over a decade now, McKenzie and the McKenzie JaLynn Band have some great original music too!  With several nominations both locally and nationally recieving nods from Nashville Universe, The Josie Music Awards and the Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards.  So it is understandable that these seasoned and road tested "Renegades" are starting to transition to more of an original band.  With two full length albums recorded in Nashville with their Grammy nominated producer Kent Wells of Kent Wells Productions and Go Time Records plan to showcase more original music during their live performances.  It has truly been a blessing to work with such a great producer so well known in Nashville, TN as Kent Wells and was a special treat when he gave McKenzie and the band the chance of a lifetime.  To meet the iconic Dolly Parton.  Who just happens to be Kents friend and bandmate of over 25 years now.

Kenzie with the love of her life Keilani
